10 super cheap things to start Prepping for Winter 2022
Im not going to suggest that you start digging a bunker in your backyard.
When we talk about Prepping it is important that we talk about, what we are prepping for. This post is going to cover the possibility that we lose power provision this winter. I am quite clear about my position on this, I’d rather be ready and nothing happens, than be unprepared and we have to deal with a heating and energy crisis in the freezing cold.
Ive intentionally left food prepping out of this list so you can read about the Top 10 Easy Food Prepping Ideas here.
Digital tools for the wandering the planet
Ive been involved in tech related business and work since 2005. It therefore makes sense that during 2023, the year I will be wandering the UK, sharing resources and reaching out to women across the country, that I be prepared.
I am grateful that I live in a place where mobile signal is sketchy and interconnection appears to be luck of the draw. This has helped enormously in establishing which tech works best and which providers are best switched on for those in far flung places.
Tech however needs not only to keep the food on the table, it also needs to keep us safe. More about this to follow …..
The Time is Now
Add to this, the war in the Ukraine appears to becoming a newsworthy item only in the background while the reality of the danger that Putin presents to us is real and imminent. The cost of living crisis we have going on, combined with the rule of lawlessness globally is plunging us into a state of gaslighting that has never been equalled in human history. Not a day goes by that my phone doesn’t ring without some scammer trying to convince me that I have compensation waiting from a car accident that I haven’t had in the last two years. Add to that the energy scams, the computer hacking scams and the banking/tax scams.
Meet Jezebel- My 19 year old faithful van
The cost of living has become extortionate. The way we live has to change. and quickly. The large number of people turning to a nomadic or semi nomadic lifestyle illustrates this. Those that own a vehicle outright, have no rent or ground charges. yes they may have to pay annual road tax and maintenance as well as fuel costs, but these are likely costs they would have incurred anyway. Follow me on how Isabella is going to be used to change the way I live and work.
2022 – A new Diet, Glassblowing, Camper Conversions and Women’s Rights
In the context of all of this I have a major wellbeing project. I will be removing most if not all refined carbs from my diet. Having investigated it, Im going to explore going all out vegetarian.
love green veg, fruits, smoothies, cheese, butter, eggs and cream, all the components that I love because in reality they can be mixed together to make an awesome meal. Omelettes, soups, burgers, all without the meat.
So follow me on the latest trip across my world and if I can share anything that helps , I will find that very satisfying.
